This site was born out of a simple idea:

To help you find the right modern architect in your area, for your project.

If you’re looking for quantity of options, go to Google. 

It’s a search engine, you’ve probably heard of it.

If you’re looking for biased choices, go to one of the many sites that charge architects to be listed or who list any architect who fills out a form online to be included.

It won’t take long to figure out how that game works.

Yourchitect works differently.

We will only list what we believe are the ten best architects in your city, based on the quality of the work they’ve done.

The ten will change over time, with fresh firms appearing and firms on the wane disappearing.

But there will only be ten.

Yourchitect does not charge architects to be included, and will not accept payments from architects who want to be included.

And while architects may, and do submit their work to us for review, it does not alter our criteria for acceptance.

The quality of their current work, based on our admittedly subjective but educated opinion, is all that matters.

In addition to architects, you’ll also find shopping choices. And again, to preserve your sanity and keep your project from becoming an endless journey through misguided options, we’ve chosen to limit each category to what we believe to be the ten best current choices.

And finally, you’ll find some random (and not so random) short features on topics you might find relevant and/or just fun.
